Sitting Up

We are working with Layla on a few developmental milestones right now that most babies can achieve by 3-4 months old:

--holding head up
--sitting up
--rolling over
--kicking

She does great right now sitting on laps--she can sit this way for quite awhile perfectly content. She needs a little bit of back support, but can hold her head up without any problems.


However, we tried putting her in her bebePod chair recently, and this is what happened:


I pushed her back up to sitting, and she immediately fell to the other side. This went on for several more minutes flopping back and forth to either side, and ended with her screaming to be pulled out. She may be a little young for this chair still, but another month or so and she should have it mastered. We'll keep trying and documenting her progress.

Layla is getting very good at keeping her head up while laying on her tummy. She does an excellent job on the Boppy pillow, because it helps support her chest.


Laying directly on her tummy is a little harder, but she's getting much stronger. She can hold her head up for about 10 seconds now before planting her face in the dirt!
