Basement Remodel

We started our basement remodel about 9 or 10 months ago, and we are now almost completely finished! We converted our unfinished, cement basement into a family room/playroom, and closed off 2 spaces for a nice clean laundry room & storage area.

Staircase before...just wood slats nailed together.

Demo pictures - a messy undertaking. I was preggo, so Jeff handled this one.

Staircase after...much safer.

Before pic of the family room.

Marty helped with the floor installation.

After...a nice, cozy space to curl up on the sofa and watch movies and Layla play in her exersaucer.

Walkway/Playroom before.

Framing the playroom for drywall.

A Halloween costume? No, it's Jeff suiting up to spray paint the ceiling rafters & ductwork. Again, I sat this one out because I was 9 months pregnant.

Walkway after. Jeff's new "toy" on the wall.

After picture of part of the playroom, looking down from the stairs.

It is so nice to be finished with this project. We love this new space, and there is plenty of room for Layla when she starts to crawl & cruise around.
