Sitting

Our baby is a big girl now. She can balance her little body all by herself. She has been working up to it for awhile now, but finally was able to do it while playing with her Sesame Street phone, right around the 6-month mark. It was really hard for her to place her legs in just the right position to maintain balance...they were so stiff. Now she can call Big Bird all day long!




These were taken about a week or so later. She became much more comfortable putting her legs out, and her shoulders aren't quite as hunched over while she is upright. These noisy toys with buttons and music have been great for teaching her to sit, because she stays so focused for long periods of time while she plays.




For some reason, she really likes to suck on the star.



These two pictures were taken last night. We had the other couples from our Bradley birth class over to catch up. All 3 babies could sit and play nicely together. Layla really has made so much progress with sitting in just a few short weeks.
