Time passes altogether too quickly. It was not that long ago when we held your tiny wrinkly newborn body in our arms. You were too little and too precious to do anything by yourself.
Newborn

With arms and legs outstretched, you began to discover the world.
1 Month

You focused your gaze and learned about people, places, and things. You studied us intensely, and began to entertain yourself by observing. You sleep like a lion.
2 Months

You held your head up, and began to develop strength and coordination. You smiled and cooed, and responded to music and stories.
3 Months

You can visibly express joy and amusement. You learned to roll over and a whole new world opened up where you can play on your tummy. Your hands are more interesting than any toy.
4 Months

You are learning so rapidly. You realize that your body is capable of new actions, but you can't quite figure out how to make it work yet so you get frustrated. You want to crawl so bad. You are learning how to use your voice to get noticed.
5 Months

You are just starting to taste new foods (hello, sweet potatoes) and can sit all by yourself. You love to bounce, and push buttons. We are excited to see what this month has in store for you.
6 Months
Happy half-birthday, Layla!
