Facial Expressions - 1 month

It's been a few weeks since we've posted. Jeff & I were both sick last week, and Layla was a fussy disaster. We had a few days' worth of fun visits at the end of the week from Aunties Nay-Nay & Lo-Baby. Layla took some long walks in her stroller to hang out in some neighborhood cafes with her Mom & Aunties, and spent lots of time being held and cuddled. So not much time for downloading pictures and blog posts, but now we're back in a good routine again.



Layla has been learning so much over the last 2 weeks, and is becoming much more aware of her surroundings, including Mom & Dad. We have been working with her to mimic facial expressions, which is a great learning activity for babies of her age. Basically we smile at Layla, stick our tounge out, make a surprised face, etc, and try to get her to make a face back at us. We've had some success--above is a picture of Jeff & Layla working on facial expressions.





Well, it's 70 & sunny in St. Louis today, so we're hoping to take advantage of this beautiful weather and get outside for a walk today.
