Yeah, yeah, Christmas was over a month ago. However, I wanted to post some pictures of Layla's 1st Christmas since none of the great-grandparents were able to see her in her pretty holiday dress. She was my little sugar plum! The dress was an awesome find at Target because it didn't cost a fortune (YAY!) & it wasn't too frilly and poofy to move around in.
After a day indoors filled with snow, Christmas Eve was a nice relaxing evening with the Lauchner side of the family, whipped up a roast and a root vegetable gratin for dinner--so delish! We spent Christmas Day with the Broses, will post some pictures from that soon. Here we all are posing for the obligatory holiday photos in front of the tree...
L has an interesting face going on here with Aunt Michelle...
Okay, this is more like it.
The post-dinner celebration got a little wild. I think every Christmas Eve from now on should be capped off by a baby crawling naked on the coffee table during the reading of "The Night Before Christmas".
While Cookie Monster sips a glass of wine and laughs at the rear view...
Actually, this is what happens when a baby runs away from you during a diaper change! It may seem cute, but gets VERY tiring when you have a naked bandit on the loose every single time the diaper comes off. At least these will be great blackmail pictures when Layla is a teenager!
