Saturday Morning

Saturday mornings around our house these days are usually a rush & scramble to run errands, grocery shop, & get our workouts in. We try to plan it so that Layla can participate and get as much enjoyment out of the Saturday routine as possible.

After we wake her up, I feed her and get her dressed, and then let her lay in bed with us for a little while.

If it's nice outside, it means taking Layla to the farmer's market for our produce. We usually drive down to Soulard, however, the Tower Grove Farmer's Market just opened it's season in the park across the street. So Jeff strapped her in the Baby Bjorn carrier and we walked over.

She's old enough now that she can forward-face, which she loves because she can see everything that's going on.

This farmer's market only sells produce & food from local growers & producers, so our produce options were limited to salad greens, asparagus, strawberries, green onions, & potatoes. We picked up some strawberries, herbed goat cheese, and a loaf of sesame sourdough bread before we ran out of money. We will have to bring more money this week because everything looked so good, and it was too hard to decide! I plan on getting coffe and a homemade crepe for breakfast as well.
