Basement Play

Being that it is cold and dark out most of the time, we spend about every single evening in the basement playroom/living room.  It's got the most space for Layla to crawl and cruise around, and it's got all of her favorite toys:

1.  Her tiny chair!  It used to be covered in electric blue, fuzzy, Toy Story fabric.  Now it's a very stylish pint-sized version of an armchair, thanks to Mom's sewing skills and Dad's help at patternmaking.

2. Her Boikido activity table.  There is a net in the center that holds animal body parts.  Layla loves the heads the most: Baby Chicken Head, Cat Head, and Cow Head.  She carries the 3 round wooden heads with her wherever she goes and leaves the bodies behind.  Layla has chewed on Baby Chicken Head so much, that he has a big crack right on his forehead!

3. Diapers.  For some reason, a pile of clean diapers really appeals to our daughter.  She loves to pull them out from under the coffee table one by one and toss them in a pile, right after Jeff or I is done folding and stuffing them.  Note: Dirty diapers (especially poopy ones) should never be left unsupervised, or they may be mistaken as toys.

She got some fun new toys for Christmas, so check back soon!
